
Pitch yourself for events
Get into the habit of regularly pitching yourself to contribute to collaborative events in your niche. Start by finding one or two opportunities that align with your audience and your offer so that you know the people who sign up to it are going to be the right fit to join your community.
Be choosy about which events you say yes to. The more selective you are, and the more aligned the events you participate in are, the better the results will be for you. When your offer speaks directly to the host's audience, you become an easy yes and the leads you gain are warm, motivated, and already interested in what you do.
This whole process can take under an hour a week, and done consistently it becomes one of the most sustainable ways to grow your list without spending a penny on ads.
