
Curiosity Check-In
Most of us spend so much time creating content FOR our email list that we forget to actually talk WITH them. Send a short, casual email to your list with one simple market research question.
The format is simple: ask one question, give 3 specific options people can choose from, then add a 4th option that says āSomething else. Hit reply and let me know.ā
This makes the email fast and easy to answer, but also opens the door for real conversations and deeper insight into what your audience needs.
The goal is to learn more about your subscribers, find out what theyāre struggling with, and get them to reply so you can continue the conversation and build a stronger connection with your list.
Hereās an example script:
Subject: Can I ask you something?
Hey [First Name],
Quick question for you:
Whatās your biggest email marketing challenge right now?
Just hit reply with the number that fits best:
1ļøā£ Donāt know what to write about
2ļøā£ Canāt find time to be consistent
3ļøā£ People arenāt opening my emails
4ļøā£ Something else. Tell me what!
I read every response.

P.S. Don't worry about writing a long response - even just sending "2" or "4 - I struggle withā¦ā is perfect.
After you send it:
When people reply (especially those who choose #4), actually respond back. Even a quick "Thanks for sharing!" or "That makes total sense" starts a real conversation with someone on your list.
Those subscribers who take the time to reply? They're your most engaged people and the ones most likely to buy when you make an offer.
