Find your missing referral partner:
Step 1: Make a list of your current referral partnerships and business connections.
Step 2: Identify who’s missing. What industry, role, or connection would be an AMAZING addition to your rolodex?
Step 3: Who's likely to know that kind of person? Look at your list of people and think: who probably has this person (or someone like them) in their network? Identify three people who might know your missing person.
(hint: the first place I go is my superconnectors: people I know and trust who have large networks and are generous in making connections)
Step 4: Reach out to those three people and ask if they know your person. You can use the following email template OR write your own (just make sure to acknowledge that you understand they’ll need to get permission from the other side, first).

I’m on the hunt for someone who’s missing from my rolodex: I would absolutely love to meet a ________ (fill in the blank). You came to mind, and I wondered: would you happen to know someone like this?
